About Shelley and her Practice
It's hard for me to believe that I have been a licensed and practicing massage therapist for over thirty years now, especially considering that when I took some night classes at Seattle massage school I didn't have plans to quit my "day job" until it became apparent, several years later, that massage was what I really wanted to do. How great is it to turn your hobby into your career? I have been blessed for sure. In addition to my private practice, I am employed as a massage therapist for St Luke's Rehabilitation Institute where I work with a team treating people who were recently hurt on the job.
My specialized massage training includes The Mayo Clinic's Hospital Based Massage Course (May 2019) the Vodder Method of Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Myofascial Release, Cupping, and Thai Yoga Massage certification. I was also a guest instructor at Northwest Noetic School of Massage for about ten years. Nothing compares to hands-on experience and I estimate so far, I have provided over 15,000 massage sessions.
I added esthetics to my practice in 2011 and I specialize in microneedling. Esthetics is an evolving field that requires ongoing study and I regularly research products and ingredients, both natural and chemical, stay current on trade articles and regulations, and attend professional training.
